Sure it cost an arm and leg, but they had food! (For your other two appendages)..
The party idea wasn't panning out too well. Sure, we could all sit around and play Tripoly, but then I saw the Pleasanton Weekly (yeah, finally something useful in it!) and noticed the ad for NYE events. The USS Hornet was having a party. I had never been aboard that vessel before so I suggested it to the group. They acquiesced. Then a few more joined in and so on...and...er, okay, only seven ended up going, but that was okay since the place already had plenty of people.
