England 2002
Back in school...in London!
What began with me taking a few classes out at DVC college in Pleasant Hill ended with me spending the fall of 2002 in London, England. All I can say is that it's an experience to last a lifetime.
Alright, maybe I can say more. My time there had such a strong impact on me. The memories left are so strong that I can instantly see any place there that I visited by just thinking about it. It's not just memories of Big Ben or Tower Bridge. But simple things like the steps entering the Dilke House. Or the little ordering area of the cafeteria that was always crowded with people. Yeah. The whole city has new meaning now.
Writings - My journal
entries. I wrote most things down. Entries include walks around London, trips
to France, a tour of the Scottish Highlands and more.

My first writing before leaving:
Wow! How'd this happen?!?
Well, I saw the signup out at Diablo Valley College, and the next
thing I know, they're mailing me plane tickets to England.
Alright, maybe there were a few details inbetween -- mostly details
involving very large sums of money. But hey! It's Europe. And I
didn't even have to study a new language.

Look I even wrote in my name for you. See how much I care? Well,
it's also cause I hate that kid called "Name of Student"
always getting my mail and care packages. Oh by the way, he said
to tell whoever sent them, that he simply loved your chocolate chip/peanut
butter cookies.
Know how it felt watching some kid eat my cookies?!? BAD, I tell
you! BAD! And I don't mean "Bad = good," I mean "Bad
= bad."
