England 2002

I wrote...oh yeah, I wrote!

"Life moves by pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around...you could miss it."
     - Ferris Bueller, Ferris Bueller's Day Off

These are my writings from England. Read them at your own risk.

Entry 1: September 12th - September 16th.
Covers the departure and the first day of the first school week.
Entry 2: September 17th - September 17th.
Includes a visit to Les Miserables, a trip to Greenwich and a bus tour around London. I've also included a few thoughts on English (London) food and the quirky money they use here. 8 different coins. Seriously, count them. Count them all!
Entry 3: September 23rd - September 26th.
Another week of school. Low-lights included having to walk around London on Wednesday due to a tube strike.
Entry 4: Paris : September 27th - September 29th.
From the top of the Eiffel Tower to bottom of the catacombs, we saw it all. Well, not 'all' in the sense of 'everything'. But 'all' in the sense of maybe a couple of things.
Entry 5: September 30th - October 10th
I'm getting kicked out cause I don't eat enough food?!? If it wasn't so absurd, I'd be upset. Fortunately, things turned out well. Bon appetit. Also includes me in the role of...Romeo!
Entry 6: Amsterdam : October 11th - October 13th.
Well, the name should say it all. Most of what goes on there would be illegal here. Check it out.
Entry 7: October 14th - October 27th
A full two weeks are here. Read with caution.
Entry 8: October 28th - November 3th
A week off. The Tower Bridge.
Entry 9: November 4th - November 20th
Too much to mention.
Entry 10: Scotland: November 21st - November 23rd
The highlands, the lowlands, heery coos and Scotch. Possibly the most fun I've ever had.
Entry 11: November 25th - November 28th
School, movies and swing dancing. Oh what fun.
Entry 12: Normandy Landing
I return to France. Only this time it isn't Paris but the rebuilt city of Caen and the World War II D-Day landing beaches.
Entry 13: One Week To Go
One last week of classes.
Entry 14: Wrapping Up
The Royal Ballet, the Tower of London and a final goodbye.
