    THURSDAY

I left town on Thursday night. I didn’t take Friday off, so that meant brining my laptop and working on Friday, but if everyone else was working, there was no point to me doing otherwise. As usual, I received my first class upgrade before the flight, so the plane ride was nice and included some tasty food, plus an IPA. In Seattle, I arrived around 9pm and my friend Lesly picked me up.

    FRIDAY

Friday was a work day as stated, but Saturday evening was a nice change of pace. We headed to a jazz club in Seattle for dinner and to listen to a jazz sax musician (can’t remember her name, but apparently she was Grammy nominated many years ago and still playing today). She had a fun band with good music. The dinner was fairly fancy. I tried their highly recommended $50 steak. While it was enjoyable, I didn’t find it any better than a steak from Outback. Good to know though. I suppose there was no real reason that a nice restaurant/jazz club would really do steak any better than a franchise that specializes in steaks. Though again, they didn’t do any worse. They just charged more.

The wine was really good though. The husband of the sax player had a winery in Napa and his passion was making wine.

    SATURDAY

Saturday was a visit to Edmunds, Washington. It’s a little coastal town not too far north from Seattle and a great place for a day trip. The waterline looks out into the Puget Sound. I was able to get some 360 video with my 360 camera. Overall, it’s a fun place to explore the waterline; I just wouldn’t expect super photos from the location. But it is fun to watch the ferry come in and head out. Lunch was at a nice small pub in town. The beers were fresh and tasty. Then it was back to Bellevue.

    SUNDAY

Sunday of course was the Super Bowl

A few people came over to watch the big game. There was a great amount of food and drinks. The game itself was entertaining. I was happy for the Rams, though at the same time disappointed for the Bengals. Pity both teams can’t win. Maybe next year.

    MONDAY

On Monday, it was another work day, then another flight back to the Bay Area. Happily it included another first class upgrade. I returned to Oakland and my first quest was to get gas. I was near empty when I had reached the airport. But a note I left myself on my dashboard reminded me to fill the tank before driving home. I paid my parking fees and headed straight there.
