This was pretty much two vacations, but they were both up north with the same friends at the same period.

First, it was time to head north again. I I took Uber. It was $60 and that price beat the parking fees I would face for such a long vacation. Oakland ended their really good deals for long term parking.

Oddly, the driver took an odd turn and we ended up in some back area of the airport. GPS breakdown I suppose. We then got back on track to arrive at the terminal.

It was a long road trip to reach Walla Walla. As we headed east here were stops for food. We even hit a winery in a city before reaching our final destination.

The town is nice. With fine weather, it was great to explore. One fun thing was to attend a baseball game out there. It was a farm league and very relaxed.

Downtown there was great food and live music. And of course we had several stops to visit more wineries. A special favorite was Abeja. A little overpriced, but great wine.

We stayed in a nice AirBNB a few days and then returned to Bellevue. The next few days involved hiking, jogging, and I even learned how to paddle board on Lake Sammamish. A great deal of fun in the sun and the water was very comfortable as it had been a hot summer.

    Coming Home

I had another small plane to return with. One notable thing was I used the clean wipe to wipe the seats and the armrest was pretty filthy. It as a good reminded to always so so on flights.

Once back in Oakland, I checked Uber for a ride home. It was $100! No thanks. I then checked Lyft. $45. Yeah, I went with the latter.
