The flight was in the afternoon, but I was meeting Levi early since I had used my companion pass to get him a ticket over along with me. Thus, he had to fly up from California, but I think it still saved us both money. The trick is that the companion pass is only valid once a year—something they really don’t make very clear when you sign up for the card.

I was also trying to save on the Uber ride, so I had the driver take me to the Tukwilla train station, and I would just take the Link over one more stop and avoid the airport chaos (and save $$$). However, I learned there were two train stations there and I guess I selected the one that was not for Link. Rather than have the driver take me to the other station, I just had him take me to the airport. I mean, I still had to book Uber again. He didn’t volunteer to do it for free.

After security, I grabbed a seat and finally Levi showed up. We headed to the lounge since I had passes still unused. Apparently, you need to use two passes for two people. I had thought they used one pass and I could bring a guest. Nope. I suggested maybe we would just skip it and head to a restaurant, but Levi did want to check out the lounge, so two passes it was.

The Alaska lounge at SeaTac is nice. I mean the upstairs N-Gate one. There are several. This one just has the largest area and food selection. Plus, free booze! We stayed there about an hour and then headed to the gate.

Since I was MVP, I did get the upgrade and that meant Levi did too. It was a pretty good value. I would say about $2000 in ticket value for maybe $400 in ticket price.

I had the window seat and took a photo of Mount Rainier as always. I also had a nice scotch. The meal was steak, potatoes and a roll, with veggies and a salad. Plenty of food.

At Fort Myers, Serena picked us up. We returned to her house for some wine and crackers and cheese, and then rested.
